The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Golden Gate International Exposition 1939 San Francisco Bay and the reverse text is Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation, Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for All. The front side of the coin shows the Golden Gate Bridge and a building in the center with text overlaid and text surrounding, a beaded border to the outer edge of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a flag in the background with the Pledge of Allegiance overlaid onto the design, text at the top giving a title to the coin with a wreath surrounding.
