The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Hostibus Primo Fugatis, Bostonium Recuperatum XVII Martn MDCCLXXV and the reverse text is Souvenir 125th Anniversary Evacuation Day Boston, Mass. 1901. The front side of the coin shows four men on horses to the left that are pointing towards the city, cannons to the lower right and the city in the background of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a small wreath in the center that encloses the 6 lines of text. The wreath is tied together at the bottom with a ribbon.
