The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Oregon 100th Anniversary Celebration, Frontier of the Future Centennial 1859 1959 and the reverse text is Oregon Wagon Train 1859 1959. The front side of the coin shows a seal shown on the inside illustration of the coin with a plane and mountains, a wagon train shown at the bottom of the emblem with text and numbers surrounding on the large outer border of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts text in a thick outer border surrounding the inner illustration that shows a wagon train being pulled by horses from right to left with a cowboy in the background.
