There are two date sizes from the 1970-S Lincoln Memorial Cent. The sizes are large and small and they were only produced at the San Francisco Mint. The smaller date has a “7” that is level with the top of the “0”. The large date has a “7” that is set down lower. The large date has been known to have a double die variety on the word “Trust”. Please have this coin verified for type as it can be very hard to distinguish. These coins were hoarded before being released, so they are extremely common.
The text on the Lincoln one cent coin reads as follows. Obverse: LIBERTY; Date; IN GOD WE TRUST; S (San Francisco) | Reverse: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; E PLURIBUS UNUM; ONE CENT.
