Value of 2000-P Sacagawea Gold Dollar Coin

There were no less than 767,140,000 2000-P Sacagawea gold dollars minted in 2000. At the time, that was about 3 coins for every American. It goes without saying that a mintage that large doesn’t leave any room for these coins to ever really be rare. Loose 2000-P Sacagawea coins are still just worth a dollar. However, an original roll of 20 coins usually sells for around $30. There is a variety known as a 2000 Cheerios dollar. Those were struck with a higher detail. We have more info about Cheerios dollars. The second collectible variety is known as a Glenna Goodacre Sacagawea. We have a more detailed write up on those coins here. Any Goodacre coin is already graded by a third party like ICG, NGC, or PCGS. So they will be easy to spot. There is also a rare error that occurred on the 2000 Sacagawea gold dollars. The error coins are a quarter on the front of the coin and have the regular eagle design on the back. These errors are very rare. To recap though, with exception of the Cheerios dollar, Goodacre dollar, and the quarter misprint, all other 2000-P Sacagawea dollars are extremely common.
