The front, also called the heads or obverse, of the 2003-P Sacagawea gold dollar coin shows Sacagawea looking towards the viewer. Her infant son is strapped to her back. The reverse, also called the tails or back, of the coin has the classic patriotic image of a flying eagle surrounded by 17 stars.
