Value of 2009 Early Childhood Lincoln Bicentennial Cent

As a celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birth anniversary, the United States Mint came out with the series of bicentennial cents. The 2009 Early Childhood Lincoln Bicentennial Cent did not see as large of a mintage as previous cents since it was just a one year strike. This coin is not rare by any means, though. The reverse of the coin shows a house in which Lincoln grew up.

The text on the Lincoln Bicentennial one cent coin reads as follows. Obverse: LIBERTY; Date; IN GOD WE TRUST | Reverse: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; E PLURIBUS UNUM; ONE CENT; 1809.

Most Bicentennial $0.01 coins are easily found as circulation coinage. If you are looking to purchase one of these coins, they can typically be found with little difficulty. As always, look for the high grade coins, and if available, try to get a coin that is already certified.
