The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads A Government dollar contains 412 1/2 grains of coin silver 900/1000 fine, this piece contains 412 1/2 grains of silver in value equivalent to one gold dollar November 1912 T.L. Elder Numismatist and Medalist. The front side of the coin shows 11 lines of text in the center with a curved line at the top and the bottom. The backside of the coin depicts a blank uniface reverse.
