The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads A little group of willful men have rendered the Government of the United States helpless and Contemptible (March 1917) President Wilson and the reverse text is Voted against the war declaration, Senators La Follette, Noris, Lane, Stone, Vardaman. Congressmen Browne, Gary, Cooper, Esch, Frear, Nelson, Stafford, Davidson, Voight All of Wisconsin Kitchen and 40 Others April 6, 1917. The front side of the coin shows a quote and date with a name at the lower edge of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts decorative and flowing text which shows the names of men who refused to sign a declaration of war.
