Obverse of this medal depicts Louis XV, facing to the right in armor, draped, with J. C. Rettiers, the artist, on the truncation of the medal. Around his image translates, “Louis XV, most Christian King.” Reverse displays a cornucopia and caduceus crossed. Around the image states, “The French Society of the Indies has erected this emporium from its foundations, for the purpose of joining the nations by a larger and more easy intercourse. 1723.” Unable to find an image for this medal.
