Value of 1773 St. Vincent Medal
This medal commemorates the suppression of a rebellion at St. Vincent. Obverse features Victory holding a palm branch and a sword as she stands over the body of a defeated Caribbean native. The legend reads, “St. Vincent’s Black Corps”. The reverse displays a native soldier carrying a musket. The legend around the figure states, “Bold, Loyal Obedient” and the artist’s name is signed, H.
