History, Information, and Value of 1856 Connecticut State Agricultural Society Medal
The Connecticut State Agricultural Society medals were struck intermittently from 1856-1859. The obverse displays a sheaf of wheat surrounded by the legend which reads, “CONN. STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY INCORP 1852.” The reverse displays a wreath of branches surrounding the legend which reads, “AWARDED TO” with space for an engraved name.
