The Pennsylvania Institute medals were struck in 1858 and 1867. The obverse displays a bust of Edward Everett. The legend around his head reads, “EDWARD EVERETT; PAQUET F.” The reverse displays a simple wreath surrounded by the legend which reads, “PENNSYLVANIA INSTITUTE INCORPORATED 1856.”
