The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Seal of Board of Trade Bridgeport, Conn 1876, The Best City on the Western Hemisphere and the reverse text is Local Pride Souvenir of the Industrial Capital of Connecticut, Made in Bridgeport, Compliments of the Board of Trade. The front side of the coin shows an illustration of the city of Bridgeport in the center with smoke coming from industrial buildings, text in two borders to the outside edge.
