1850 Royal Hawaiian Agricultural Society

This medal honors the Royal Hawaiian Society. The obverse displays a detailed scene featuring agricultural productions hailing from Hawaii. The legend around the scene reads, “ROYAL HAWAIIAN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY ESTABLISHED A.D. 1850; MITCHELL.” The reverse displays a wreath centering upon a blank space with room for engraving. The legend around the outer edge of the medal reads, “PREMIUM FOR THE BEST EXHIBITED.” The last of these medals were struck in 1857.
