Value of Clad $0.50 Commemorative Coins (1982-Present)

One of the first things that you will notice with the $0.50 Clad Commemorative series is that there are actually two half dollar silver coins included. The George Washington and James Madison coins were minted out of silver for…well no one knows why actually. However, don’t think that you hit the jackpot just because of the metal it was made from. These two coins are worth $2 more than the others. Collecting the Clad Commemoratives would be a great start for any new collector. These coins are not likely to change in price over time, though, as they have no precious metal content. Unless there is an extenuating circumstance, we do not normally purchase clad commemoratives.
